Mediterranean Cruise with Viking Ocean

The Viking Star is an impressive 930 passenger ship and I boarded her for a winter sail around the Mediterranean. We embarked in Barcelona and sailed to stunning destinations like St Tropez, Monte Carlo, Marseille, Tuscany and Rome.
This 7 night journey was an adventure each day. We woke up in a beautiful European city for a day of exploring and by evening, we dined in one of their many restaurants, enjoyed a show, relaxed in the lounges or enjoyed the amenities of our stateroom.
Our deluxe veranda suite was a good size for the two of us and all our luggage, plus it had a seating area, modern bathroom and lovely balcony where we had al fresco breakfast several times.
I particularly loved the ship’s fitness center and LivNordic Spa. Not only did I have an amazing massage there, but we used the Thermal Suite almost every day! The hot tub, steam room and even snow room were such a treat!
Other highlights of our journey included our Viking excursion to San Gimignano in Tuscany (A Day in Tuscany), New Year’s Even onboard and afternoon tea!

Very nice. I’ve been on a Mediterranean cruise. Unfortunately, it was a Navy 6 month deployment Mediterranean cruise 🙂 We saw many ports and countries. I think I like your cruise better. Thanks for sharing.
