10 Reasons Everybody Should Viking River Cruises – Review

I had the pleasure of going on my first European River Cruise and I must say it is worth all the hype. I am not a fan of big cruise ships and thought it could be a similar experience, BUT it was not.

I went on a Viking River Cruise called the Romantic Danube, and 8 day cruise that started in Budapest and ended in Nuremberg(Nürnberg).

Here is a link to the cruise I went on https://www.vikingrivercruises.com/cruise-destinations/europe/romantic-danube/2018-budapest-nuremberg/index.html

Were you able to dine with just your wife at a table, instead of with 2 or 3 other guests?

You are spot on with your review. We did the Rhine River Cruise in early May 2018 on the Viking Eir. Everything was exactly as you said. We had a French Balcony cabin, so no Balcony but who really spends all their time in their cabin when everything else on these ships are so luxurious and relaxing.

We just made a last minute decision on a Viking River Cruise and all they had to offer is the standard room…after being in it for the week, were you fine with your decision?

serbianvampire says:

Well I use to work on a ocean cruise for 3 and a half years (Princes Cruisses) difference…
1 You always stop far away from the city so you need to take a shutle bus or taxi except for (Auckland Sydney Liverpool Venice Genova)
2 In ocean cruise what you get on the menu you get it everything else you pay for it (ain’t cheap)
3 Excurisons (don’t make me laugh)
4 Rough sea canceld ports nothing new
5 To crouded okay I mean other people are on a vacation also but you came to rest not live in antother floating building..

If i hade the time and the money I would go on a river cruise defenetly…
