We had the opportunity of a lifetime to travel with Bill’s family to Europe for a Mediterranean Cruise. We kicked off the trip with a couple days in Paris, and a couple days in Rome before getting on the ship. Ports of call were: Messina, Athens, Ephesus, Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos, and Naples.
We loved every single minute of this trip, and will surely remember it forever. The food, especially in Italy and Greece was fantastic! Staying Paleo in both of those countries was super easy. Celiac is widespread in Italy, and Greeks basically eat Paleo to begin with.
Some of our top recommendations on this trip:
Rome: La Botticella for drinks and a good time
Rome: Maranega in Campo De Fiori
Athens: Kuzina in the Plaka
Athens: Konstantine (gelato)
Rhodes: Tambakio at St. Paul’s Bay (fantastic seafood right on the beach!)
Santorini: Dimitri’s Fish Taverna down at Ammoudi Bay below Oia
