448 MSC Preziosa Passengers Quarantined After Cruise And Flight To London

448 MSC Preziosa Passengers Quarantined After Cruise And Flight To London Health officials in London UK have asked the owners and operators of the MSC Preziosa if there were any cases reported where passengers were having trouble breathing on their last Caribbean cruise after 488 passengers were quarantined at the Gatwick Airport after returning from the cruise ship on a Virgin Atlantic charter flight. Up to 50 people felt ill on the flight along with 5 crew members from Virgin Atlantic on the 8 hour flight from Barbados to London. After landing the plane was moved to a remote part of the airport where health providers were waiting to aid the passengers. 3 people had to be admitted into hospital while the rest were allowed to continue on their trips home. The entire ordeal took over 5 hours at Gatwick to sort out. #mscnews #mscpreziosanews #virginatlanticnews #londongatwickquarantine #cruiseshipnews #virginatlanticquarantinenews #msccruisenews

Brian Cox says:

It was also reported the some of the flight crew felt unwell they would not have been on the cruise.

John G Mulhatton says:

Sadly we travelled on this same ship last year in October (13 – 23 Oct., ’18) and having read these comments I hate to say, but it is very true. Numbers we do not know, but many passengers had similar problems, breathing, respiratory etc., A lot were “hospitalised” on board and did not have “a trip of a lifetime” but rather “a trip to try and survive till the end.” We were advised that the ship was on it’s last voyage as repairs and maintenance etc., had to be done before the next season started. Once that upgrade was done it would be cruising the Caribbean sea. Obviously the aircon., problem was not solved.

Indio Raj says:

What’s the probability that viruses on the ship are spread by the air conditioning system? Everyone is breathing that same air recirculating throughout each cabin?

Ayden Amundsen says:

In my younger days, I used cruise on ships that were previously used for transporting migrants.
Eg.fairstar,fairsky and Oriana.
Gastro outbreaks were frequent events that weren’t listed on any intinerary ‘s.
Suffice to say, alot of conversations with other passengers were cut short on occasions.
